I watched "braindead" again last night. Hilarious and sick. Also loved the Romero-movies, the remake, Shaun etc

"Great" horror movies (Zombie themes especially) still give chills decades later. Few films can stand the test of time, but those that do, are the ones I put on my "best in class" list. Here are some that clearly stand alone and give the same scares no matter how many times you've watched it or for how long...
#1- Night Of The Living Dead (still scares me senseless...first saw this at a Midnite showing - the theatre had "zombies" in full makeup and costume waiting in the parking lot to attack patrons as we walked to our cars at 1:30am! (some got pretty aggressive too!) Scared everyone to death! This was before VCR's (mid-70's) so none of us had seen the film before. The movie was bad enough but the "bonus" was over the top! Those were the days!
#2- ReAnimator....I still love it! Sequels were ok but the original is still the best by a country graveyard mile!
#3- Return Of The Living Dead...."brrraaaaaiiinnnns"!...a parody that was scary, gruesome and funny as hell!
to be continued...
I can't wait to see Necro Files and I'm confident once I do, it will be on this list as well...Todd is a god!
